The
Moore's
John M. Moore II &
Cynthia Moore
Our program is
based on breeding the best possible mares to national champions.
We plan to show the resultant foals to enhance their value and
salability. Most of our lines are Polish and domestic. To that
end we have purchased and bred Verona VF a five year old chestnut
Alada Baskin daughter out of the champion producing mare Fiona.
Verona VF is a full sister to National Champion Gelding Fiero
. Verona is in foal to 2005 National Champion Enzo for a May
2006 foal. We have purchased Sue Bee's Honey a black bay mare
by Rohara Samurai (Samir x Aramus) out of TF Sue Bee (Excelladin
x Ferzon daughter) Sue Bee's Honey was Champion Futurity Filly
in the tough Region XII as a three year old with Ted Carson.
She is in foal to Pyro Thyme SA for a April 2006 foal. We have
also bred the very lovely and correct Toskbria daughter FMA Gabriella
to PyroThyme SA and she is expecting in June 2006. We also have
bred the pretty, well balanced Toskbria daughter FMA Victoria
to Vanilla Zip for a half Arabian palomino or buckskin for 2006.
We
want to thank June Yahola
for allowing us to purchase the beautiful and charming Pyro Thyme
filly, Pyro Liza Thyme. Pyro LIza was futurity champion filly
open with Kim Potts and amateur champion with John Moore at the
Oklahoma State fair in 2005. She was Junior Champion filly at
the North Texas Shoot-Out 2005. She has been a lot of fun and
we look forward to showing her in 2007. She has been bred to
Eden C for a 2008 foal.
How
It Started
In 1979 we originally named our ranch Four
Moore Arabians for ourselves and our then two little children
who participated in the care and showing of the horses. Our son
Johnny showed a little in showmanship and he rode western. Stacey,
our daughter, rode western, hunter and English.
We originally bought
Arabians because
of their beauty and character. John really loves halter and living
in California we saw many of the greats: Ferzon, Fadjur, Aladdinn,
Calobask, Bey Shah and Raffon to name a few. Stacey even got
a short ride on Khemosabi. On one occasion we witnessed both
Huckleberry Bey and Karajorge perform in the most spectacular
liberty class ever in Reno Nevada.
Our local Gilroy club
had 55 members
in a ten mile area. We were all friends and really enjoyed the
camaraderie. Fame VF was born to Bob and Pat Radamacher friends
of ours and Dick Adams their trainer called us and said a future
national champion was born. We went to the Radamacher Ranch when
Fame was three days old to see the future champion. Before the
Radamachers purchased Raffoleta Rose, Fame's dam, we had driven
by her daily and knew she was for sale, but the Radamacher's
had the foresight to buy her and breed her to Bey Shah.
We later bred to Port Bask, Fame VF, Toi Soldier
and JK Amadeus. Some of these horses made the move with us to
Texas. We purchased a stallion, Toskbria a well balanced beautiful
chestnut stallion, which both Kim Potts and Gordon Potts helped
us with. Kim showed him to regional top five and John showed
him to amateur top five. Toskbria won many halter classes for
us. One great memory was when John showed Toskbira to Champion
Stallion and then our pure polish mare Gabiotka to Champion mare
at the Cowtown Classic. Later, Travis Braden rode Toskbria western
where he won in San Antonio.
Daughter Stacey continued showing in Texas with
many wins on her English mare Arabasque, her western mare Gabiotka,
and her hunt horse Cabria. Cynthia also won a western pleasure
championship on her Padron daughter NW Romance, herself many
times a halter winner.
For the last six years we have been building a new ranch
and have not been breeding. But for, 2006, we are excited to
have four mares in foal. And thanks to June Yahola and the beautiful
halter filly Pyro Liza Thyme SA John is back showing and winning
in the show ring.
